Swatch & Review: Velvet Vanity Cosmetics

IMG_2975.JPGHey guys! Today’s post will be a beauty review on the liquid lipsticks recently launched by Velvet Vanity Cosmetics. Velvet Vanity Cosmetics is a vegan and cruelty free makeup brand locally made here in Malaysia. Without further ado, let’s jump right in to the review!

Packaging: Ok i’m obsessed over these colour combinations on the packaging. The tube itself that holds the product is made out of plastic which kind of resembles a typical Chanel gloss. It also comes with a doe foot applicator for easy, on the go touchups.

Texture and pigmentation: This product glides on like a dream on the lips, it does have a slightly watery texture but it still feels creamy. Think of Nyx’s Lip Creme but with way more pigment. The formula of these liquid lipsticks do take a while to dry, which I guess buys you a little bit more time to fix any mistakes you have made while applying them on your lips. What I love most about it is that it doesn’t feel dry on the lips. It feels absolutely lightweight and comfortable.

They currently have 3 different shades;
1. Libra Baby – a soft peachy pink nude
2. Slamberry – Bright pink, a shade lighter than Lime Crime’s Riot
3. Blood Wasted – Deep vampy red with slight purple undertone

Here are the swatches!

Also, I almost forgot to mention that these liquid lipsticks retail for RM59 each. It is so affordable and the quality of these products are amazing. Hope they’ll come up with more colours soon because I’m definitely getting the entire collection!

That’s it for today, guys. Hope you enjoyed this review! Check out Velvet Vanity Cosmetics on Instagram here if you would like to see swatches on different skin tones. Thanks for reading x
